PRE PRIMARY SECTION
On their very first day, the school’s Pre Primary and Nursery blocks were buzzing with activity in anticipation of welcoming the students. In addition, there was peppy music playing in the background, staff in costumes and the classes were well decorated. The teachers welcome the kids with songs and sweets.
With the tiny tots back in the school, the whole campus felt complete.

15th June’ 24, marked an exciting day at M.E.S VIDYA MANDIR, BELAPUR as we warmly welcomed our students, to the new academic session. The welcome started by offering coconut and Saraswati Poojan. A welcome song was presented by the school choir. Seeking the blessings of the goddess of knowledge and wisdom, students entered on the drum beats with enthusiasm and great zeal. Sweets were also distributed to the children. They were excited to meet their friends again and know their new teacher. As it was a no bag day, students were engaged in a variety of enjoyable activities, fun games, drawing etc.
Vidya Mandir staff spared no effort in making first day a memorable experience. In conclusion, the first day for students was a resounding success with collective efforts. We are sure that students will thrive academically and socially at M.E.S VIDYA MANDIR. We wish everyone a fulfilling and rewarding journey ahead.
19th June 2024, 24th Foundation Day of M.E.S Vidya Mandir, & Jr College
On 19th June 24, the celebration of School Foundation Day began on an auspicious note by lighting of the ceremonial lamp and paying floral tribute to the founder members of Maharashtra Education Society. Shree Waman Prabhakar Bhave, Shree Laxman Narhar Indapurkar, and great revolutionary leader Adya Krantiveer Vasudeo Balwant Phadke, followed by M.E.S song. Students were shown glimpse of Maharashtra Education Society through a short video.
Senior teachers Mrs. Swati Chudji & Mrs. Padma Patil shared their insights & experiences, reflecting the gradual growth of the school spanning twenty-four glorious years.
Also, on this auspicious occasion, inauguration of "DIGITAL CLASSROOM" was done which was received with the cooperation of Class 10th batch.The program concluded with a Pasayadaan.
INTERNATIONAL YOGA DAY
“YOGA FOR WOMEN EMPOWERMENT”
International Yoga Day was celebrated by the students, staff and ladies parents at M.E.S Vidya Mandir, Belapur on 21st June 2024 with great enthusiasm.
International Yoga Day celebrated this year was not only for physical fitness but also related to empowerment of women.
On this occasion, an attempt to work towards the wellbeing of mother parents and making them competent, fostering self confidence and inner strength was made by Yoga expert Ms. Dhanashree Nilesh Patil and her team. She explained the meaning of Yog and then illustrated Pranayama and elaborated its importance and benefits. Demonstrations and explanation of various yogasanas like Sandhichalan , Suryanamskar, Virbhadrasan, Chakrasana, Vrukshasan, Bramhari , Omkara chanting etc. was done.
Women are always in a multitasking role, having lot of stress and anxiety. So, to build the confidence among the women and help them take firm decisions our Counselor Mrs. Sheetal Gundekar took various activities and guided how yoga has transformative power to enhance the physical, mental, and spiritual well-being of women.
Our students of grade I to X also performed various yogasanas like Cat camel,
Butterfly, Surya Namaskar, Pawanmuktasan, Shawasan etc, the importance of which were explained simultaneously.
Finally, the session was concluded by delivering a vote of thanks.
First Parent Teacher Meeting was held on Saturday 29th June’24. The main objective of the meeting was to create a common platform, where teachers and parents come together to discuss student’s performance and devise ways to enrich their learning experience.
Parents were welcomed and reported about the various achievements in the academic year 2023-24 through a presentation. They were also briefed about the various activities and competitions to be conducted in the first term. Parents were informed about the rules and regulations of the school. Various development and opportunities open for students in sports, music and art were also detailed. Our Counselor told about the various programs to be implemented for various age group in the academic year through Personality Development Centre.
Parents were requested to encourage student’s participation in various activities. Parents gave their view points and suggestions regarding the school and its development. One to one interaction took place between parents/ guardians and class teacher. Election of PTA member was held in respective classes. The meeting helped to create better understanding between parents and teachers and build harmonious relationship between the school and the community.

The newly formed student council members n monitors were vested with responsibilities and powers. As they were conferred with badges, they took an oath to take charge of their responsibilities and take the school to the height they desire with their leadership, decision making skills, communication and teamwork.
Principal Ma’am congratulated the team and reminded them that with position comes responsibility towards themselves, their School and peers and looking forward to be role models for their peers and the juniors.
On 23/07/2024 our school organised E-Greeting Card Making Activity for students.
To encourage students to express their creativity and develop their technical skills through designing and creating e-greeting cards.
Explained the objective and procedure of the activity.
Students designed and created their own e-greeting cards using software.
Technical skills improved as students learned to use graphic design software.
Students created personalized e-greeting cards for special occasions. Developed technical skills in graphic design software. Encouraged creativity, self-expression, and critical thinking.
The e-greeting card making activity was a success, promoting creativity, technical skills, and collaboration among students. It served as a fun and engaging way to develop essential skills in graphic design and digital communication.

ASHADHI EKADASHI CELEBRATION
2024-25
“Ashadhi Ekadashi is a promising day of Lord Shri. Vitthal and is a celebration of the religious procession during the month of Aashadh. The day of Ashadhi Ekadashi was celebrated in M.E.S Vidya Mandir, Belapur on Tuesday 16th July 2024. Devottes seeked the blessings by offering flowers to Vitthal Rukmini idol followed by Vitthal Aarti.
The children came to school dressed up as little warkaris carrying cymbals in their hands and wearing rosary around their neck. Selective students were dressed as Lord Vitthal and Rakhumai. The school premises was full of these little Warkaris. Students sang devotional song in praise of Lord Vitthalla while Std 8th students performed Varkari Nrutya on the beats of Taal and Tabla. School was filled with the chanting of ‘Vithhalnam’ and the whole ambiances became devotional. The program concluded by distribution of Prasad.
ANNUAL ALUMNI MEET 2024-25
‘The Alumni Meet: a celebration of our past and a toast to our future.’
M.E.S. VIDYA MANDIR , BELAPUR, organised the Annual Alumni Meet on 27 July 2025,Satutrday in the school assembly hall. It was a day filled with excitement, emotions, and nostalgia as the alumni, both recent and older, came together to relive their school days and connect with their old classmates and teachers. The meet was attended by around 60 alumni from all over the country, ranging from those who graduated a few years ago to those who graduated more than a decade ago. The registration process was smooth and hassle-free, and the alumni were given a warm welcome by the organizing committee.
The event began with lighting of the lamp & invoking the blessings of Goddess Saraswati. The school principal, Mrs. Shubhangi Shinde, accorded a warm welcome to all and apprised the alumni about the school’s changing infrastructure, and proactive measures taken in recent times for the welfare of students. The in charge of the Alumni Association, Mr. Ravindra Chitte, shared his memories of the school and welcomed everyone to the event. The most emotional moment of the event was when the alumni took a tour of their old classrooms and campus, reminiscing about their school days.
After the tour, the alumni had a chance to reconnect with their old classmates and teachers over refreshments. It was heart-warming to see the excitement and joy on the alumni's faces as they shared their experiences and memories of their time at the school. It was indeed a great opportunity for the alumni to catch up with their old friends, network with each other, and build new connections. Many of them were seen clicking photographs with their former classmates and teachers, capturing the memories of the day.
The event infused a concoction of emotions as the alumni experienced a wave of nostalgia and camaraderie. The Annual Alumni Meet was a grand success, as it provided the alumni a chance to reconnect with their alma mater and with each other. The event was not only a celebration of the school's legacy, but it was also an opportunity for the alumni to network and to give back to the school in various ways. The event ended with a promise to meet again next year, for a yet another successful Annual Alumni Meet.

विद्यापरिषद संघाने आवश्यक साहित्य पुरवले आणि गती, सर्किट आणि खेळण्यांच्या डिझाइनची तत्त्वे थोडक्यात सांगितली.
विद्यार्थ्यांनी दिलेले साहित्य वापरून त्यांची खेळणी एकत्र केली.

हातात खेळणी तयार करून विद्यार्थ्यांना विज्ञानाशी जोडण्यात कार्यशाळा यशस्वी झाली. विद्यार्थ्यांनी सर्जनशीलता दाखवली आणि वैज्ञानिक संकल्पना व्यावहारिक मार्गाने लागू केल्या.

Guru Poornima celebration
On 19th July, Guru Poornima was celebrated in M.E.S. Vidya Mandir, Belapur ,with great enthusiasm and reverence. The students expressed their gratitude towards their teachers in the form of flowers and greetings. They also made greeting cards of unique designs and honored their teachers. The bonding between teacher and students could be felt through these kind of gestures.The event commenced with a traditional lamp lighting ceremony followed by Vedic chants and prayers, invoking blessings from the divine and paying homage to all revered gurus. A workshop was conducted for Std V to VII, by Sanskuti Savardhan Pratishthan. We were pleased to have Mrs. SheetalNikamand her team with us. She is an active member of Sanskruti Samvardhan Pratishthan is one of the NGO, which work for enhancing Moral Education among young children for last 20 years. The aim of this Prathishthan is to inculcate the Indian culture and tradition among young generation. Students showcased their talents through devotional song to highlighting the importance of a guru in one's life.Mr. Tushar Chattargee member of Pratishthan delivered insightful speeche on the significance of a guru in spiritual and personal growth. They emphasized the role of a guru in imparting knowledge, ethics, and values.
The celebration of Guru Purnima was a harmonious blend of spirituality,culture, and gratitude.Program was concluded with ‘Pasaydan’.
The workshop was organized under teacher Prabodhini. On this occasion Topic – Loving work was taken up. Mrs. Kanchan Palav, member of Jeevanvidya Mission, was invited as a speaker for this topic.He gave brief guidance on the power of mind, positive thinking technique, importance of work.All teachers and non-teaching staff were present on this occasion.
The Annual Meeting of the Transport Committee was successfully held on Saturday, July 13, 2024. Police Sub-Inspector Mr. Ravindra Valdkar and Police Constable Mr. Kamalakar Sonwane explained the school van traffic rules to the students, parents and drivers in simple language. Drivers were also properly guided on the rules of driving. Similarly, it was said that the problems of the parents should be resolved and measures should be taken.
Celebrating Eco-Friendly Raksha Bandhan on 17 august 2024 at M.E.S Vidya Mandir, Belapur.
To commemorate the auspicious occasion of Raksha Bandhan, organized an eco-friendly Rakhi making activity for students. The event aimed to promote sustainability and creativity while celebrating the bond of love and protection.
Students participated in the activity, using natural materials like leaves, flowers and seeds to create unique and eco-friendly Rakhis. The event also raised awareness about the importance of reducing waste and promoting eco-friendly practices during festivals.

Lord Ganesh always teaches us that nobody is unequal and everyone should be treated in the same way you want them to treat you.
Keeping this in mind,
M.E.S. Vidya Mandir organised Different competitions such as Std 8 - Idol making competition , Std 9 Drawing competition, and std 10 - Book mark making competition, on occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi on 30th August 2024 to encourage the students to create Ganesh idols using eco-friendly materials, thus making a positive impact on the environment and to encourage reading among the young children, as well as to give them an opportunity to express and develop their creativity.
All students enthusiastically participated in competition.
On 5th September, 2024 (Thursday), M.E.S. VIDYA MANDIR organised Teachers’ Day on the birthday of Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, former president of India.
Students of standard X very well took the responsibility of school by becoming teachers for a day. They taught the students of class 1 to IX through activities and play way method. Teachers’ Day program started with the lamp lighting and paying tribute to Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan.
Class representatives felicitated the teachers by giving handmade bookmarks and a group song to express their gratitude towards the teachers.
Student teacher Miss Suhani Jha, gave a speech thanking and appreciating all the teachers for their hard work and dedication, and for their role in helping the school achieve new heights.
The program ended with the Head Boy and Head Girl thanking the teachers for their efforts in shaping the life of students and inspiring them. The program was concluded with Pasaydaan.

Gajanan kadam sir ( Senior Police Inspector, Crime branch Navi Mumbai )To educate students, parents and staff about cyber security threats and the importance of cyber security in today's digital age. practices to stay safe online. The program covered various aspects of cyber security, including online safety, cyber threat, digital arrest, skype call, telegram prepaid task scam and reporting mechanisms. The Police Inspector's expertise and interactive approach made the program engaging and informative. The program was well-received by students and staff, with positive feedback.

students of M.E.S Vidya Mandir, pledged to create clean and healthy environment for sustainable future. A short film on life of the Father of the nation was shown.
A rally was taken out in Income Tax Colony, to promote cleanliness and environmental responsibilities among the students and sensitize them about the importance of cleanliness for a healthy, socially responsible, economically dynamic, and progressive nation. Students made posters with slogans on promoting cleanliness and it's importance and interacted with the residents around the school.
To help students understand and practice Gandhiji's principles in their daily lives, primary students prepared craft activity 'Gandhiji's
3 monkeys' while students of 3-4 coloured cleanliness posters.

M.E.S.VIDYA MANDIR, BELAPUR for the students of V TO VIII class.
The workshop aimed to introduce students to basic scientific concepts and principles through the hands-on creation of small toys. Students explored concepts like mechanical motion and simple circuits while fostering creativity and problem-solving skills.
Vidnyan Parishad team provided necessary materials and briefly explained the principles of motion, circuits and toy design.
Students assembled their toys using the provided materials.
Students showed the understanding of basic principles through their creative designs.
The workshop was a success in engaging students with science through hands-on toy creation. Students demonstrated creativity and applied scientific concepts in practical ways.

Navratri’ one of the most important festival celebrated to worship goddess ‘DURGA’. This festival is a sign of 'good over evil'.Up until a few years ago, Bhondla was a yearly ritual religiously celebrated at homes through out Maharashtra, even after women stopped being married off at such a young age. Now, it is a rare sight to find girls celebrating all of its days. But we at M.E.S Vidya Mandir, choose to keep the tradition alive. So, our school celebrated Bhondla Festival with great gusto. The programme started by welcoming and offering prayers to Maa Saraswati.
In the times when, Indian Women were not allowed to seek education and were confined to the four walls of the houses, in such situation there were some dynamic Indian women who broke barriers & shaped the nation's future. Our M.E.S Vidya Mandir girls showcased the glimpse of such Nav Durgas of India who faced the Challenges for women then – which provided Opportunities now”.
A tribute was paid to such first pioneer women in different fields like education, medical, engineering, business, politics etc.
As we conclude our journey through the lives of these extraordinary women, let us not merely applaud their achievements but also heed the lessons they impart. In a world life with barriers and biases, their stories serve as beacons of hope and catalysts for change.
Later, the importance of the festival and how it is celebrated over nine days was explained to the students. Bhondla pooja was performed followed by Garba on the lovely beats of the folk music by the students, who had come dressed in traditional . The program concluded with a vote of thanks and distribution of Khirapat.

RSP cadets of M.E.S Vidya Mandir, Belapur participated in the Road Safety Patrol duty .
On the occasion of Dusshera during Devi Visarjan procession in Income Tax Colony, our students regulated the traffic under the guidance of the teachers. They helped to manage the traffic, guided pedestrians to move around safely during the procession, protected the environment by picking thrash littered on road and created awareness to the public to understand their responsibilities on roads and towards environment.
Our volunteers efficiently regulated the traffic and ensured smooth and hassle free procession. Siddhivinayak Mitra Mandal of Income Tax Colony presented a certificate to the school for the contribution of their RSP Cadets towards well-being of society.
An Educational Presentation Of Health and Hygiene was conducted by "Savlon Swasth India Mission."
The program induced to bring about behavioral change among-st the children through fun activities that would encourage healthy habits and help kids stay fit. Students were given participation certificates along with a hand-wash & a first aid box was gifted to the school.
To educate students about proper oral care practices an“Oral Health & Hygiene Awareness Session” was held by - Jyothi Rajaprakash (Representative, Bharat Cares In Partnership With Colgate Company) The session aimed to instill the fundamentals of dental hygiene in young minds. It covered key missions essential for maintaining good oral health like the correct way to brush, Brushing twice a day, Changing toothbrush every 3 months, Say No to Tobacco & eating nutritious food for good oral health. It was an interactive session to encourage healthy dental habits among students.
Experiential learning is an approach that goes beyond traditional classroom methods. It is the process of learning by doing.
To get a better understanding as of how students can be engaged in hands-on experiences and reflection, so that they are better able to connect theories and knowledge learned in the classroom to real-world situations a workshop on "Experential Learning" was conducted by Mr. Kedar Tapikar sir.
It helped teachers understand how ELT can be widely applied in various contexts and how it can be used to design experiential learning activities and programs that can promote deep learning and personal & academic growth of the students.
To empower team work and promote healthy eating habits among the students Khichadi and Healthy Chaat Making Activity was conducted in MES Vidya Mandir, Belapur. Students of Primary Section brought various pulses and vegetables. Where as Secondary section students brought boiled chanas, corn, cucumber, tomatoes etc for making healthy chaat. Children were explained the nutritive values of the pulses and vegetables they brought and importance of healthy eating in this junk food world. Students along with teachers, parents and sevikas came together as a team and made delicious and healthy khichadi and chaat which was enjoyed by one and all.

On the occasion of Silver Jubilee Year Celebration, MES Vidya Mandir, Belapur conducted Sports Carnival. Around 70 - 80 Students of age group 3-6 years of nearby Pre schools participated in the competition. There were many on the spot entries too.
Principals of pre schools were also present to motivate their participants.
Chief guest : Miss Shravani Rajkumar Patil, National medalist in powerlifting 🥈inaugurated the program by Ceremonial Torch Lighting.
Events started with running race, followed by hurdle race and ball balancing. Our tiny tots of MES Vidya Mandir, cheered the contestants. The parents of the participants captured their memories by clicking pictures at the selfie point.
All the entrants were honored with a participation certificate, where as the first three winners were awarded with medals, certificates and prizes.
Overall, Sports Carnival at our school was a resounding success, leaving us with unforgettable memories.
