To keep our rich cultural heritage alive and continue our endeavour for a value based education, Ram Navmi was celebrated in MESVMB (CBSE).
The day began by offering flowers to Shree Ram and an informative presentation highlighting the significance of the festival. Students were explained the virtues of Lord Rama and were urged to learn lessons from the life of Lord Rama.
Students of std V sang melodious songs with religious fervour.
The celebration filled the atmosphere with the spirit of devotion and love for Lord Rama.
Fire Safety Demonstration
Fire safety is a critical aspect of education that ensures the safety and well-being of students, staff, and the school community as a whole.
To promote fire safety awareness, MESVMB (CBSE) organized a Fire Safety Demonstration on 5th April’2025 in collaboration with Shieldon Fire Safety & Security Services.
The session, led by Mr. Yogesh Mudliyar aimed at educating students and staff about the perils of fire incidents. He explained the different classes of fire, how to identify the fire types and choose the right extinguisher. The session provided valuable insights into the dangers posed by fire and the preventive measures that can be undertaken.
The informative session was designed to raise awareness among the students about the swift action during a fire outbreak.
The students actively participated in the demonstration, gaining hand on experience including how to use fire extinguishers and exit a building safely during a fire emergency & how to tackling different types of fires. A mock drill was conducted to illustrate the steps to combat and educate the participants during an emergency situation. The event raised awareness about fire safety, with participants gaining a better understanding of potential fire hazards and prevention measures.
Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Jayanti was celebrated in MESVMB (CBSE) School. A special assembly was organised to commemorate his teachings and works.
On this occasion Principal Mrs. Shubhangi Shinde
by lighted the lamp and paid floral tribute to Dr. Ambedkar.
Students from Grade X delivered an informative speech on the life history of Dr Ambedkar. Important incidents from his life were narrated to students for inculcating good values among them. The achievements and contributions of Dr. Ambedkar were highlighted and emphasis was laid on his writing a vast and the lengthiest Constitution of the world.
The School Principal, apprised the students about the procurement and interesting facts of Dr. Ambedkar and motivated them to act in accordance with Babasaheb’s footsteps and inculcate his values in their lives to achieve their aim and uplift the society.
"Strengthening Assessment and Evaluation Practices"
A two-day CBSE training programme on "Strengthening Assessment and Evaluation Practices" was successfully conducted on 5th & 6th May 2025 at M.E.S VIDYA MANDIR, BELAPUR . The session was led by esteemed resource persons Mrs.Kavita Singh and Mrs. Poonam Thakur, certified CBSE trainers known for expertise in modern assessment techniques.
The training aimed to equip teachers with updated tools and strategies to enhance the quality and effectiveness of student assessments. Through interactive sessions, group activities, and real-life examples, participants gained valuable insights into formative and summative evaluation, competency-based assessment, and feedback mechanisms.
Teachers from various schools actively participated and appreciated the enriching experience. The programme concluded with a Q&A session, feedbacks and vote of thanks .
A blood donation camp was organized at MES Vidya Mandir on Thursday 19th June 2025, on the occasion of School Foundation Day and Silver Jubilee Year Celebration In association with Tata Memorial Hospital, Kharghar Navi Mumbai in bringing a ray of hope to contribute to the serious problem of acute shortage of blood. An attempt for effectively raising awareness about the importance of blood donation and encouraging active participation from the school community. The event underscored the school's commitment to social responsibility and its dedication to contributing to the well-being of the community. The collected blood units will be a valuable contribution to the blood bank, potentially saving numerous lives. A Certificate of appreciation and refreshment was given to each donor as a token of gratitude.
The school plans to continue organizing such initiatives in the future to promote this noble cause.
he Investiture Ceremony Of MESVMB for the academic year 2025-26 was held on Monday 30th June 2025 with great enthusiasm at M.E.S VIDYA MANDIR. The event marked the formal appointment of the newly elected School Council Members, who were chosen through a democratic School Council Election conducted a day before.
The ceremony began with the welcome speech by Mrs Rupa Pawar, who emphasized the importance of leadership and responsibility. The results of the school elections were announced, and the elected members—Head Boy, Head Girl House Captains, and other council members—marched smartly towards the stage to take their positions.
The school leaders took an oath to uphold the school’s values and perform their duties sincerely.
The Principal, pinned the badges symbolizing the transfer of authority and responsibility.
It was a proud and memorable day for the school, showcasing the spirit of democracy, leadership, and commitment among students.
Ashadhi Ekadashi, also known as Devshayani Ekadashi, was celebrated with great devotion and enthusiasm at M.E.S.VIDYA MANDIR
on 5/7/25.
The program began with a traditional prayer and bhajans sung by the school choir, invoking blessings of Lord Vitthal and Rukmini. The stage was beautifully decorated with images and idols of Vitthal-Rukmini, tulsi plants, and rangoli.
The students from Balvatika beautifully dressed as Vithal-Rukhmani and Christian respectively. All the teachers & non-teaching staff members were enchanted by the enthusiasm of the tiny tots and the atmosphere was filled with gaiety and spirituality. This celebration encouraged the students learn about the values of devotion, simplicity, and unity that this pilgrimage represents. Our Principal madam addressed the gathering and appreciated the efforts of students and teachers in keeping the cultural spirit alive.
The event concluded with aarti and prasad distribution. It was a memorable celebration that helped students understand the cultural and religious heritage of Maharashtra.
Guru Purnima was celebrated with great devotion and enthusiasm at MESVMB on Thursday 10th July's 2025. The celebration aimed to honor and express gratitude towards the teachers, who play a crucial role in shaping the future of students.
The program began with a traditional lamp lighting ceremony, symbolizing the dispelling of ignorance and the awakening of knowledge. This was followed by a soulful rendition of the Guru Vandana, performed by the school choir, which set a spiritual and respectful tone for the event.
Students gave speeches highlighting the significance of teachers and the ancient Indian tradition of Guru-Shishya Parampara. A short documentary on great Indian gurus such as Maharishi Vyasa, Swami Vivekananda, Gautam Buddha etc. was also presented.
The teachers addressed the gathering, emphasizing the importance of discipline, humility, and the quest for knowledge. Teachers were felicitated with handmade cards and small tokens of appreciation from the students, creating a warm and emotional atmosphere.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks, followed by Vande Mataram. Overall, the celebration was a heartfelt tribute to the guiding lights in our lives — our teachers — and served as a reminder of the values of respect and gratitude.
Poster Making Activity: "Save the Dolphins"🐬🐬🐬🐬🐬
To raise awareness about marine conservation and the protection of dolphins, a Poster Making Activity was organized for the students of M.E.S. Vidya Mandir on Saturday, 12th July'25. The event aimed to foster creativity while educating students about the importance of preserving marine life, especially dolphins.
The activity began with an informative video presentation that highlighted the life of dolphins, their role in the marine ecosystem, threats they face due to human activities, and the urgent need for the conservation of these intelligent marine mammals.
Following the video, students took a heartfelt pledge to protect dolphins and contribute to ocean conservation by reducing plastic use, spreading awareness, and showing kindness to all marine life.
The main highlight of the day was the Poster Making Competition, where students enthusiastically showcased their artistic talents and environmental awareness. Using vibrant colors and powerful messages, they created thought-provoking posters. The activity successfully combined art and environmental education, providing platform for creative expression but also an important step toward instilling a sense of responsibility among students toward marine conservation.
Independence Day Celebration
Independence Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm at MES Vidya Mandir, Belapur on 15th August 2025. The programme commenced at 8:00 am with the flag hoisting, followed by a flag song . The Chief Guests, Mr. Ravindra Chitte and Mrs. Shweta Chitte (Parents of the SSC Topper), along with the Special Presence of Shri. Sachin Ambardekar Sir (CEO of MES, Pune), Principal Mrs. Shubhangi Shinde madam graced the occasion.
The celebration included speeches and a patriotic poem presented by students, an inspiring address by the Chief Guests, and a motivational speech by a teacher.A melodious patriotic song was beautifully performed by the students on the flute.
The prize distribution ceremony honoured the SSC toppers, winners of the Dolphin activity, and pre-primary students and parents of the “Advertisement with Mom and Dad” competition.
A special felicitation was held for the winners of the Raigad District Level Thai Boxing Championship, where students achieved Gold and Silver medals and were selected for the State Level. The programme concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks and sweet distribution to all present.
Silver Jubilee Year Closing Ceremony Marks New Milestones at M.E.S. Vidya Mandir, Belapur.
The grand closing ceremony of the Silver Jubilee Year celebrations at Maharashtra Education Society's M.E.S. Vidya Mandir, Belapur was held with great enthusiasm and pride. Respected Mr. Mahesh Bane of Oerlikon Textile India Pvt Ltd graced the occasion as the Guest of Honor, joined by several dignitaries, alumni, staff, students and well-wishers.
A key highlight of the event was the unveiling of the proposed solar panel installation by the Members of Oerlikon CSR Working Committee, a significant step under the CSR initiative of Oerlikon Textile India Pvt. Ltd., aptly themed “Powering a Sustainable Tomorrow.”
The event also witnessed the inauguration of the ‘Memory Lane’, a walkway commemorating 25 years of the school’s achievements and the launch of ‘Rajat Yatra’, a special magazine featuring past milestones, messages from well-wishers and experiences shared by alumni.
The program was a heartfelt tribute to the school's journey and legacy, with attendees expressing their best wishes for its continued success. The school management also proudly announced the transition to the CBSE curriculum, marking yet another milestone in its pursuit of excellence in education to be continued. The Silver Jubilee Year Closing Ceremony concluded with a tree plantation program by Shri Pradipji Naik, Vice President of Maharashtra Education Society, Pune and the dignitaries present, symbolizing growth, sustainability and a commitment to a greener future."
On 23rd August 2025, MES Vidya Mandir organized a creative and devotional activity for students – " Akshar Roop Ganesh". The activity encouraged students to design artistic forms of Lord Ganesha using the alphabets of their own names.
The objective of this activity was:
1. To blend art and language – Demonstrating how alphabets and letters can be used as a medium of artistic expression.
2. To promote creativity and imagination – Encouraging students to think beyond traditional drawing methods and explore innovative styles.
3. To know the origin and meaning of our names - Our names are not just labels, but a part of our essence. This activity helped students understand the deeper meaning of their own names.
Students enthusiastically participated and showcased their unique talent by creating beautiful and meaningful Ganesh images with alphabets of their name. The activity not only enhanced their artistic skills but also fostered a sense of cultural connection and devotion towards Lord Ganesha.
Overall, activity of making Akshar Roop Ganesha brought together language, art, and spirituality, leaving students inspired and motivated to explore their creativity further.
TEACHER’S DAY REPORT [2025]
Teachers' Day is a special occasion to recognize the hard work and commitment of teachers, express gratitude for their efforts in shaping students' futures, and also strengthen the bond between teachers and students.
It was celebrated in M.E.S. Vidya Mandir, Belapur with great enthusiasm and gratitude on September 5th.
On this occasion students of Std X enthusiastically played the role of teachers. By stepping into the role of teachers, they experienced the challenges & responsibilities of teaching & developed a deep appreciation for the efforts taken by their teachers. They taught the first four lectures in classes of Std 1 to 9 according to the timetable. Students delivered heartfelt poem, speeches and messages thanking teachers for their guidance, support, and dedication.
Teachers were felicitated or honored with tokens of gratitude by the students of std 10.
The celebration fostered a sense of appreciation among students for their teachers' efforts. It was a day filled with joy and gratitude.
