75th Independence Day
The Independence Day has a great importance in every citizen’s life. Every year ,This day reminds us that freedom is sacred and citizens must do everything to ensure that it shall not be endangered.
This year as on 15th August 2021, Sunday, the celebration of Independence Day was held in a mesmerizing way & with great enthusiasm in the campus of M.E.S. Vidya Mandir & Jr, college, Belapur, Navi Mumbai. The school was decorated with arranging planted pots & drawing Rangoli. The morning of the Independence Day started at exactly 7.30 am with school staff, few students & parents in the school premises.
The flag hoisting was done by the chief guests Mrs. Sujata Dhole, Additional. Commissioner of N.M.M.C & Mr. Abhay Jadhav, Law Officer of N.M.M.C. with the National Anthem followed by flag song. Respected Principal Mrs.Shubhangi Shinde offered them heartfelt floral welcome.
Due to Covid 19, pandemic situation Program was shortened. The school met students online using the video conferencing application on Zoom app.
Honorable Chief Guest Mrs. Sujata Dhole madam enthralled the audience with her lively talk & giving the valuable tips for sustaining their present success in the future and encouraging them to see beyond the classrooms. The message she drove home with examples was not just to celebrate achievement but also to learn and gain wisdom from ones failure and rise & move ahead.
On this occasion, students of Pre Primary to Std 10th had participated in different activities such as Pre Primary –flag colouring activity, std 1&2- Drawing activity on ‘Smart City’, std 3rd &4th-Patriotic craft activity on ‘Smart City’ , std 5th ,6th, 7th , 8th -Poster making activity topic was ‘Smart City’ std 9 essay writing on ‘The great Freedom Fighter’ & for std 10th – Online Patriotic Antakshari .
School organised online Antakshari on patriotic songs. Four rounds like sing song by given letter, words, identify Bollywood actors & sing their songs Last round was identify national heroes & sing their songs. Students enjoyed activity.
On this occasion, Felicitation ceremony was organised to honour the brilliant achievers i.e. three toppers of SSC & HSC in academic year 2020-21.
Miss Bhavana Choudhary who topped the school, with 92%, Miss Shreya WAdangekar ,the second topper with 89.80%, and Master Surya Choubeywith 88 % the third topper in SSC exam. All three were felicitated by the chief guest Mrs.Sujata Dhole with a big round of applause by parents and students.
Similarly, Master Mayur Arban secured the topper of Jr. college secured 84%, Miss Khushi Prasad second topper scored 75%, &third topper, our Sahil Jain with 74% was in HSC exam. All three were felicitated by the chief guest Mr. Abhay Jadhav with a big round of applause by parents and students.
Miss Bhavana Choudhary& Master Mayur Araban expressed their feelings & gratitude towards school & college respectively.
Parents Mrs.Savita Wadangekar gave speech on this occasion.
The Chief Guests showered their blessings on the students by the pearls of wisdom. All the parents were extremely delighted to be a part and parcel of this eventful occasion. The program culminated with the hope that coming years see more and more sharing of awards.
In the end, the Principal delivered a short speech. She told the students about the supreme sacrifice the great martyrs who gave their lives for the sake of freedom. She also said that the freedom was very precious and it was very necessary to preserve it.
She also emphasized the importance of hard work dedication & perseverance in everything they do.
Indeed, it was a day of joy, a day to love and respect our country and make it a better place for Indians to live and experience the freedom, peace and unity in diversity.The entire program was very well organized.
