National Science Day was celebrated on Tuesday, 28th ,2023 by the students and teachers of M.E.S. Vidya Mandir, Belapur to provide platform to the students to prove their talents, bring out their creativity, encourage scientific thinking and promote better understanding of concepts of science.
The theme of the year was “Global Science for Global Wellbeing”.
A rally was taken in near by areas where, our students addressed the society about climatic changes, protection of trees, water bodies, conservation of natural resources, air pollution and so on. With the help of posters and visuals students spread awareness about the various issues harming the environment and mankind as a whole.
Students of Std VIII and IX demonstrated different types of models related to various branches of science like molecular models, space satellites, DC motors, transformers, solar systems, etc. Students of class X , collected the information about scientist from ancient, medieval & modern period and compiled in a book which was inaugurated by Principal mam on this significant day.
Our Principal madam witnessed the entire exhibition and appreciated the efforts of the students and staff. Student’s participated with enthusiasm in Science rally and exhibition

या कार्यक्रमप्रसंगी सन्माननीय शाळेच्या मुख्याध्यापिका श्रीमती शुभांगी शिंदे यांच्या उपस्थितीत पार पडला.
या वर्षीआठवी व नववीसाठी प्रसिद्ध नाटकातील संवाद,कथा व कविता सादरीकरण करण्याची स्पर्धा आयोजित केली होती.त्यात विद्यार्थ्यांनी नटसम्राट व छत्रपती शिवाजी महाराज यातील वीर रसातील संवाद सादरीकरण उत्तमरित्या करून दाखवले.गेल्या वर्षीच्या उपक्रमांतर्गत पुस्तक वाचनाची गोडी लागावी या उद्देशाने पुस्तक संग्रह करून घरात लहानसे ग्रंथालय निर्माण करण्यास ही यावर्षी सांगितले गेले.त्याचप्रमाणे यावर्षी भाषेची गोडीलागावी यासाठी दररोज वर्गात १०मिनिटे वृत्तपत्र वाचन करून घेण्यातआले.
त्याचप्रमाणे पहिली ते सातवी पर्यंतच्या विद्यार्थ्यांनी बडबडगीते,गाणी,कविता व कथा यांचे सुंदर सादरीकरण केले गेले. पहिली ते सातवीच्या विद्यार्थ्यांनी सादरीकरणातून विविध काव्य प्रकारांची सुरेख ओळख करून दिली. अशाप्रकारे हा कार्यक्रम मुख्याध्यापिका, शिक्षक वृंद,शिक्षकेतर कर्मचारी व विद्यार्थी यांच्या उपस्थितीत साजरा करण्यात आला.
M.E.S. Vidya Mandir & Jr. College arranged a field visit cum excursion at Yusuf Mehar Ali Center, Karnala Bird sanctuary and Visawa Amusement Park at Panvel for Nursery to Std 12.
An attempt was made to connect our tiny tots of Nursery to class III, with the ecosystem by a visit to the Karnala Bird sanctuary. Walking through the beautiful hills, Children observed different types of trees, shapes of leaves and a variety of colourful flowers. Teacher made them familiar with the names of different trees and explained their uses. Students were enthralled to see the striking elegant display of peacocks beautiful feathers. They were stunned to witness a variety of colorful birds and their habitats. Students enjoyed watching the antics of monkeys.
To understand the functioning of small scale industries and also to know about natural environment, a field visit was arranged to Yusuf Meher Ali Center for the students of Class IV to XII .Students came to know about various activities like rural development, health care, education, empowerment of women and tribal , youth mobilization, employment generation, organic farming, vermi-culture and disaster management. They also enjoyed learning the process of making pots and lamps by usingterracotta clay, bath soap (NeemKutir and Sandal). They observed extraction of oil from til, coconut, groundnut and bitter almonds. In the carpentry section students could see furniture made up of good quality wood like chairs, tables and cupboard. Our students also visited the Bapu-Kutir. It is well known for the spread of moral values like Satya, Ahimsa, Samata, Sanyam and Shanti. It is replica of Sewagram, Wardha. At the Nursery students saw a variety of medicinal plants and species.
After the educational trip, a visit to Visawa Amusement Park was an invigorating for one and all. Children enjoyed the different joy rides. They enjoyed themselves throughout the day while trying several thrilling rides. They also relished the lip smacking food served to them. Overall, the trip was a very refreshing one and rejuvenated the students.
To educate and train the students for an unforeseen emergency like fire or any natural calamity, M.E.S Vidya Mandir, Belapur conducted a mock exercise and evacuation drill on Saturday 25th February’2023.
Immediately on sounding of the siren, the students and staff evacuated the school making sure that they have switched off the switches before they left. Also it was ensured that no child or staff is in the washroom. The elder students helped the students of lower classes to move out of the building. Guided by the teachers the students gathered in the play ground – the allotted safe zone. Following all the safety measures. The entire building was successfully cleared within a span of 3 minutes and 5 minutes respectively. The drill was organized to check the readiness of the school to face any such emergency during any natural calamity and also to make the students and staff aware about the Fire Fighting rescue operation and its procedure.
These mock drills help in meeting the challenges in adverse situations and in coping with the situation during the time of natural and man-made disaster.
Experts from the SHIELDON FIRE & SAFETY (OPC) PVT. LTD were invited to give a demonstration & to sensitize the staff and the students about the life saving and rescue techniques in case of fire. Through a PPT students were educated about what is fire, different types of fire, how to use a fire extinguisher also a demo was given for the same and use of Fire system.
The objective of the exercise was to create awareness among the students regarding fire fighting techniques and the ways to respond swiftly in times of any emergency situation.
MES Vidya Mandir & Jr. College, Belapur, celebrated Republic Day with immense patriotic fervour and zeal. The Chief guest of the day our Ex Student ‘Mr. Abhishekh Singh’ Youngest Publisher of ‘Web Hacking 101’ . Also, appreciated by PM of India for work done in PM Samman Nidhi Yojna data breach case. Unflured the tricolour in the presence of Shree Sachin Ambardekar Sir, CEO of Maharashtra Education Society, Pune followed by National Anthem and Flag song. The four houses performed the March past.
Various activities were organised to infuse the spirit of unity, brotherhood and patriotism among the students. The students of the Pre-Primary presented the National symbols through a fancy dress competition. Whereas our Primary section presented soulful songs and ringdrill to celebrate the monumental day.
The students of the secondary & Jr. College presented stirring speeches and butterfly drill. The guests of honour inspired the students with a motivational speech. Dignitaries felicitated the students who had performed exceptionally well in various competitions, studies and sports throughout the year. The program concluded with a vote of thanks and National Song.
All the students, staff and parents dispersed with the image of the fluttering tricolor in their mind and heart.
Yuva Chetna Din was celebrated on 12 th January 2022, Thursday at Adya Krantiveer Vasudev Balwant Phadke Vidyalay , Panvel. Students of M.E.S Vidya Mandir were participated in Ring drill & Butterfly drill exercise.
Annual Day forms an integral part of our school activities. It is an occasion of celebration, felicitation, feast and festivity when students not only present their wonderful performances but also receive honours for their curricular and co-curricular achievements.
MES VIDYA MANDIR AND JUNIOR COLLEGE, BELAPUR celebrated Annual Day on 17th of December, 2022. GUEST OF HONOUR , SHREE SATISH SHETTY PRESIDENT, TALOJA INDUSDRIES ASSOCIATION, and many eminent dignitaries were present at the annual day celebration.
Talking of the theme – TIME MACHINE, student anchors gave information regarding TIME MACHINE which states everything is temporary... and students performed various events showcasing the evolution of time in terms of technology, education, drama, culture, traditions, attitudes, food habits etc.
Cherry on the cake was PARENTS DANCE – BONDING performed by fathers and daughters which shows fathers are the real heroes to their daughters. Principal Mrs. SHUBHANGI SHINDE ,extended a warm welcome to the dignitaries and presented the Annual Report. She read out the achievements of the school and college – both Academic and Co-curricular and wished success to the students.
A drama filled with fun, laughter and an eye opener regarding on importance of outdoor games and disadvantages of excessive use of mobile phones. THE PROGRAM was enjoyed by one and all and it CONCLUDED WITH A VOTE OF THANKS & VANDE MATARAM.
Sports day was celebrated in M.E.S. Vidya Mandir & Junior College on 26/11/2022. Shree. Badal Subhash Doshi Sir, a Racing Motorcyclist at National level. was invited as a special guest on this event. The day typically started with introduction and felicitation of the guest by Shubhangi Shinde madam. Followed by parade of the four houses and lighting the Olympic Torch. Our tiny tots of Pre Primary participated in potato race, frog jump and lemon & spoon race .
The students from std. 1 to 4 participated in running, hopping and potato race. Next was the performance of std. 5 to 7 students who participated in running & obstacle race. Class 8 to 12 students showed their performances in 100 meter race & relay race. Group games like Kabaddi and relay race were also enjoyed by the students.
Students of Jr. College participated in Disc throw, shot put , running race and relay. All the winners were felicitated with a certificate & a medal. The program ended with national song ‘Vande Matarm.
Krishna Janmashtami, an auspicious Hindu festival, was celebrated with great fervour at M.E.S Vidya Mandir & Jr. College, Belapur to mark the birthday of Lord Krishna, who is said to be the Purna Avatar or complete manifestation of the supreme cosmic energy. Janmashtami celebrations are incomplete without Dahi Handi. The students were overjoyed when natkhat Kanha scrambling upon his friends who formed a pyramid reached the handi and broke it. This way, the event ended on a
really happy note leaving a big smile on every face.
Teacher’s Day is celebrated in India every year on 5th September to appreciate the role played by teachers in the life of students–the leaders of tomorrow. Teachers provide the power of knowledge and education and create possibilities for better future. Students of standard X very well shouldered the responsibility of school by becoming teachers for a day. They taught the students of Class I to IX through activities and play way methods.
The program commenced with floral tribute to Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, former President of the country and a visionary educator and Savitribai Phule the first female teacher, a modern feminist, and a social reformer of India. Students recited poems, sang songs in praise of their teachers and shared their experiences. They showered their love and gratitude by offering hand made greetings. Thus the programme was applauded by one and all present.
Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav Independence Day was celebrated on 15th August 2022 in M.E.S Vidya Mandir & Jr. College, Belapur with great patriotic fervour and zeal. The Chief guest of the day Mr. Sharma (Parent of our SSC topper Miss Swati Sharma) , unfurled the tricolour followed by the National Anthem and flag song. The students of the four different houses started their march past and paid their respect to the National Flag. The choir group sang a few patriotic songs and students of Jr. College gave speeches throwing light on the contribution of some unsung warriors of freedom struggle.
Prizes were given to meritorious students of SSC and HSC. Tiny tots were felicitated for their achievements in various competitions.
Our Principal madam addressed the gathering with her motivational speech. The program concluded with a vote of thanks and Vande Mataram.
In an effort to sensitize people about the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign and commomerate Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav M.E.S Vidya Mandir & Jr. College, took out a “Prabhat Pheri” in Income Tax Colony. All the students, staff, PTA members, Parents and our Ex students participated in the rally. Participants raised slogans like “Bharat Mata ki jai”, “Vande Mataram”, “Har ghar tiranga, “Vijayee viswa tiranga pyara-jhanda uncha rahe hamaara” and so on.
Thus this Historic event of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav was witnessed and celebrated by all with great enthusiasm and zeal.
महाराष्ट्र एज्युकेशन सोसायटी चे विद्या मंदिर बेलापूर शाळेत दिनांक 10/8/2022 रोजी रक्षाबंधन सण उत्साहात साजरा केला गेला. प्राचार्या माननीय श्रीमती शुभांगी शिंदे मॅडम यांच्या मार्गदर्शनाखाली रक्षाबंधन उत्सव अनोख्या पद्धतीने साजरा करण्यात आला. या कार्यक्रमा मध्ये रक्षाबंधन चे महत्व व पुरातन इतिहास मुलांना गोष्टी स्वरूपात सांगण्यात आला.हा सण म्हणजे सुरक्षितते चे स्मारक आहे. राखी बांधल्याने एक बंधन आपल्यावर असते. हे बंधन असते ध्येयच्युत न होण्याचे.या ध्येयाच्या दिशेने वाटचाल करण्याची आठवण राखी आपल्याला देते . अशाच प्रकारे विद्यार्थ्यांनी दैनंदिन जीवनात शालेय अभ्यासातून नैतिक मूल्यांची जाण ठेवून रक्षाबंधन निमित्त प्राणीपक्षी,झाडे, आपला तिरंगा, स्वतःची सुरक्षा,आपल्या जवळ पास एकटे राहणारे आजीआजोबा यांचे रक्षण करण्याची जबाबदारी घेतली. दैनंदिन जीवनात तसेच व्यवहारात स्वतः पासून सुरूवात करण्याचे आश्वासन विद्यार्थ्यांनी दिले .विद्यार्थ्यांनी आपल्या कल्पकतेतून राख्या व भेटकार्ड तयार केली .इयत्ता सहावीच्या विद्यार्थ्यांनी रक्षाबंधन या विषयावर गाणं सादर केलं .कार्यक्रमाच्या शेवटी मा. प्राचार्या शुभांगी शिंदे यांनी विद्यार्थ्यांचे कौतुक केले व रक्षाबंधन सणासाठी सर्वांना शुभेच्छा दिल्या.
On account of Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav an Exhibition was organised on Monday 8th August '22 in M.E.S Vidya Mandir, Belapur to pay tribute to the Unsung Heros of the India's Freedom Struggle.
The guest of honour Dr. Subodh Naik, History Scholar addressed the students with inspiring events of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, Veer Savarkar and Adya Krantiveer Vasudev Balwant Phadke followed by inauguration of the exhibition.
An attempt to recall and remember the forgotten heroes of our freedom struggle, many of whom might be renowned yet unknown to the new generation. The aim of the exhibition was to recreate and bring forth stories, which lay as faded memories of the past, which would serve as a medium of inspiration and encouragement for the young generations. Our chief guest appreciated the efforts of the students and enlightened us with additional information about the great work of the unsung warriors. PTA members and other parents too visited the exhibition and thus became aware of the unknown people who were a part of our glorious history and the supreme sacrifices and selfless spirits of these unsung freedom fighters who craved the way for Independent India.
The programme concluded with Pasydaan.
19th June 2022, 22nd Foundation Day of M.E.S Vidya Mandir, & Jr College
On 18th June 22, the celebrationof School Foundation Day began on an auspicious note by lighting of the ceremonial lamp and paying floral tribute to the founder members of Maharashtra Education Society Shree Waman Prabhakar Bhave, Shree Laxman Narhar Indapurkar, and the revolutionary leader Adya Krantiveer Vasudeo Balwant Phadke by our Principal madam Mrs Shubhangi Shinde, followed by MES song and a glimpse of Maharashtra Education Society through a short video.
Our Principal Mam shared a narrative which reflected the gradual growth of the school spanning twenty-two glorious years. The program concluded with a vote of thanks.
The day of Ashadhi Ekadashi was celebrated in M.E.S Vidya Mandir & Jr College, Belapur on Saturday 09th July 2022. “Ashadhi Ekadashi is a promising day of God Shri. Vitthal and is a celebration of the religious procession during the month of Aashadh. Our tiny tots came in traditional dresses. Some students played the role of Vitthal, Rukmini and other saints. Aarti of Panduranga was followed by a procession of Dindi /Palkhi in school with full enthusiasm. Students of Std 3rd and 4th sang devotional songs in praise of Lord Vitthal 'Avaghe garje Pandharpur' , Taal bole chipalila naach majhya saang'
The school was filled with the chanting of ‘Vithhalnam’ and the whole ambiances became devotional.
Students gained a lot of information about the importance of this auspicious festival.
The auspicious day of Guru Purnima was celebrated with great reverence and devotion at MES Vidya Mandir & Jr College, Belapur.
The program started with the auspicious lamp lightning ceremony and offering floral tribute to Ved Vyas followed by melodious rendering of songs. and an enlightening speech on Guru Shishya Parampara by our students. Children bestowed their love by offering flowers to their teachers as a token of respect. Our Principal Madam Mrs Shubhangi Shinde appreciated the efforts of our students and explained the significance of the day. The program concluded with a vote of thanks and Pasaydaan.
M.E.S Vidya Mandir & Jr. College, Belapur observed International Yoga Day on 22nd June 2022 with great enthusiasm on the theme “Yoga for Humanity” to create awareness on the physical and mental well – being of our students.
Representatives of Yoga Vidya Niketan, explained the meaning of Yog and then illustrated Pranayam and elaborated on its importance and benefits followed by the demonstration of various Asanas that need to be practiced every single day.
The session started with Omkar & Prayer Various Yogasanas like Sandhi Chalan (Stretching exercise), Ardh Chakra Asan, Shoulder rotation, Vriksha Asan, Pada Hastasana, Trikon Asan, Bhadrasan, Vajrasan, , Ardha Ushtasana (Camel Pose) were taught to the students. Pranayama, Kapalbharti and Meditation were practiced by the students and staff
Finally the session was concluded by Yog Geet and delivering a vote of thanks.
In the pandemic period- “Zero plastic starts with me” helped the students to manage waste ( plastics )at thier level. Students collected one litre bottles and in that bottle they stored all dry plastic materials. They are called as Ecobricks .
Students of std 1 to 10 participated in the project with great enthusiasm. Project was initiated by NMMC .
Students enjoyed and values were inculcated by saving and managing our earth by plastics.
