Ashadhi Ekadashi is an auspicious day of God Shri Vitthal . To make children aware of our tradition and greatness of saints who gave the importance of social equality and tried to inculcate moral values.
Ashadhi Ekadashi was celebrated on 19th July 2021 with great enthusiasm in M. E. S Vidya Mandir & Jr. College, Belapur.
All the children dressed up in colourful traditional attire and participated enthusiastically in various competitions like shloka and Abhanga recitation, Story telling, Palkhi making, Musical instruments like taal and pakhwaj, idol making (Vitthal)
The programme commenced by offering flowers to Vitthal Rukmini idol and palkhi pooja done by our Principal Madam, Mrs. Shubhangi Shinde. Selected finalist of the competition performed virtually.The chief guest of the day, Mauli Dnyaneshwar Maharaj from Devachi Aalandi preached students virtually about the Varkari Sampradai through his keertans and abhangas.Miss. Swati Sharma of Std X expressed her gratitude towards Lord Vitthal. Our Principal Madam encouraged our students to follow the teachings of our great Saints with her inspirational speech.
