INTERNATIONAL YOGA DAY 2021 -22

YOGA is an ancient Indian tradition combining bodily agility with mental relaxation techniques. 21st June 2021, marks the 7th Yoga Day. The theme this year is ‘Yoga For Wellbeing’, which focuses on practicing Yoga for physical and mental well-being. As Covid Pandemic has hit people physically & mentally so, yoga is the only exercise which will balance our mind, body & soul.
In line with global concerns around the Covid-19 pandemic, emphasizing the importance of maintaining good health, but within constraints of social distancing the event of the International Day of Yoga 2021 was held virtually.
M.E.S Vidya Mandir & Jr. College staff and students joined the virtual inauguration of Yoga Week organized by M.E.S Kridavardhini. On this occasion, Yoga Instructor respected Abhay Mate guided the students regarding the importance of Yoga in our life.
Teachers, parents and students performed Suryanamaskar and various asanas followed by meditation.
Respected Principal Madam Mrs. Shubhangi Shinde enlightened the students by explaining why this particular day is selected as International Yoga Day.
Thus our students and parents became a part of this activity, doing Yoga from the safety of their own homes.
