In the pandemic period- “Zero plastic starts with me” helped the students to manage waste ( plastics )at thier level. Students collected one litre bottles and in that bottle they stored all dry plastic materials. They are called as Ecobricks .
Students of std 1 to 10 participated in the project with great enthusiasm. Project was initiated by NMMC .
Students enjoyed and values were inculcated by saving and managing our earth by plastics.

CENTENARY DIAMOND JUBILEE OF MAHARASHTRA EDUCATION SOCIETY , PUNE
On the Historic moment of 160th Foundation Day of MAHARASHTRA EDUCATION SOCIETY, PUNE the staff of M.E.S Vidya Mandir, Belapur came together to celebrate the Centenary Diamond Jubliee of Mahrashtra Education Society.
The program commenced at 9.00 am with the auspicious lamp lightning ceremony and invoking goddess Saraswati by kindling the lamp of knowledge and wisdom and seeking the choicest blessings followed by Saraswati Vandana.
A tribute was paid to the he pioneering efforts of the three reformist, the founders of MAHARASHTRA EDUCATION SOCIETY, PUNE Adya Krantiveer Vasudev Balwant Phadke, Shree Waman Prabhakar Bhave and Shri. Laxman Narhar Indapurkar by offering flowers.
To mention the eminent events and activities a short video of our institution was displayed to show how the aim was accomplished over these years very successfully by our institute.

Science Day
On the occasion of National Science Day, Science week was celebrated by the students and staff of M.E.S. Vidya Mandir, Belapur from Monday 21st February’22 to 28th February’22.
The objective of this programme was to provide a platform to the students to prove their talents, bring out their creativity, encourage scientific thinking and promote better understanding of concepts of pure science.

For students of Std. V- VII a Science quiz was held on 22nd February’22.
A guest lecture on ‘Importance of Conservation of Mangroves’ was conducted by Mrs. Chitra Thakkar (Co-ordinator of Inner Wheel, Navi Mumbai) for the students Std. V- VII.
On 23rd February’22 students of Std. I – IV also participated in Science Quiz.
In today’s world, being curious can enrich your life massively. So an attempt to explore the curiosity of our kids through this activity ‘Tell me why?’. During the science week our Students of standard 5th, 6th & 7th compiled questions that came to their mind and tried to find the answers with the help of their teachers, parents, reference
books, encyclopedias, internet etc.
Through this reference resource for children. Through ‘Tell me why’ book, we have tried to cover a wide range of topics in a easy to follow question-answer format, along with illustrations and photographs, making learning simpler.
On 28th February’22 Science quiz, Rangoli Competition (Well illustrated Science diagram) and Essay Competition on the topic ‘Wonders of Science’ was conducted for Std VIII – IX.
Our guest of Honour Mrs. Deepa Survase, (Science HOD, St. Xavier’s high School Jr. College , Nerul) inaugurate the book ‘Tell me why’. and emphasized the importance of Science in our day to day life.
The Chief guest appreciated our school students for their active participation. They enjoyed Quiz and Science diagrams through rangoli made by the students.
Our principal Mr. Shubhangi Shinde highlighted the significance of scientific applications in our daily life.
To educate and train the students for an unforeseen emergency like fire or any natural calamity, M.E.S Vidya Mandir, Belapur conducted a mock exercise and evacuation drill on Saturday 25th February’2023.
Immediately on sounding of the siren, the students and staff evacuated the school making sure that they have switched off the switches before they left. Also it was ensured that no child or staff is in the washroom. The elder students helped the students of lower classes to move out of the building. Guided by the teachers the students gathered in the play ground – the allotted safe zone. Following all the safety measures. The entire building was successfully cleared within a span of 3 minutes and 5 minutes respectively. The drill was organized to check the readiness of the school to face any such emergency during any natural calamity and also to make the students and staff aware about the Fire Fighting rescue operation and its procedure.
These mock drills help in meeting the challenges in adverse situations and in coping with the situation during the time of natural and man-made disaster.
Experts from the SHIELDON FIRE & SAFETY (OPC) PVT. LTD were invited to give a demonstration & to sensitize the staff and the students about the life saving and rescue techniques in case of fire. Through a PPT students were educated about what is fire, different types of fire, how to use a fire extinguisher also a demo was given for the same and use of Fire system.
The objective of the exercise was to create awareness among the students regarding fire fighting techniques and the ways to respond swiftly in times of any emergency situation.
An enthusiastic participation in PARENT SCHOOL organized on 8 th July 2023 ,Saturday, by M.E.S Vidya Mandir.
At the stroke of 8 in the morning Parent students entered the school in a line and settled in their wards class room. Starting the day with morning assembly parent students gave their attendance. As per the time table they attended different lectures. Various activities were organised, they enjoyed singing in music class, performed Science Practical, Computer practical, drew pictures and played on the ground. In this way Parent School was enjoyed by one and all present. At the end after Vande Mataram Parent Students went home treasuring the memorable moments in their heart.

On the auspicious occasion of Deepawali, Fort making activity was conducted in M.E.S Vidya Mandir, Belapur to know the importance of forts and the glorious past of India.
Theme was : "Forts of India" each class selected one state and made a well known fort of that particular state.
With the support of parents and guidance of their teachers students used their innovative ideas in fort making, they found the information of the fort and prepared different replicas of forts like Kangra Fort , Golkonda Fort, Jaisalmer Fort , Jhansi Fort,
Bidar Fort , Red Fort, Daultabad Fort , Raigad Fort
Bekal Fort , Kasaragod Fort.

[12:36 AM, 12/2/2023] Mansi: M.E.S Vidya Mandir, Belapur organized the Punjabi Food Carnival which featured popular cuisines of the state. Parents of Std I to IV planned and successfully executed this food carnival under the guidance of teachers.
Parents dressed in traditional outfits and served the authentic dishes like chole Puri, Dal Makhani, Lassi, Paneer Tikka, Kulcha, lip smacking Dahi bhalla, Chana chat etc....
Though the tummies of kids were almost full,the mesmerising aroma of other dishes was hard to resist.
Annual Day ‘Ninad’ was celebrated on 23rd December’24 at M.E.S Vidya Mandir, Belapur with the theme ‘Colors of Life.’ Chaitanya C Reddy, Principal of DAV Public school Panvel. Senior Academician and Learning Design strategist, Trainer on Academic Frameworks and Pedagogical Practices graced the occasion as a chief guest. NMMC Law Officer Adv. Abhay Jadhav was also present as a special invitee.
Each colour has it's own shade, own grade, own energy level and spreads some message in life. All the different emotions that we experience during our lives and different emotions that makeup life like Love, anger, ecstasy, fear, sorrow, delight were displayed in various colours through different songs, dances and drama.
The program commenced by lighting of lamp, welcoming the guests and Ganesh Vandana. There were various performances based on theme by the students which added more enthusiasm in the audience. A message that whatever comes our way we must not give up in life. Just accept the situation and keep moving was conveyed through various performances which was delightful to watch. The program concluded with a vote of thanks and Vande Mataram.

MENSTRUAL CYCLE HYGIENE SESSION is organised on 13 th September 2023 in MES VIDYA MANDIR BELAPUR,to help our girls children learn about the Menstrual cycle hygiene. The different sessions were conducted for grade 5 to 10 girls in the school. During the session also covered the Menstrual hygiene management and practices. The program was conducted by Counselor Mrs. Sheetal Gundekar The program was concluded with a vote of thanks.
NATIONAL SCIENCE DAY
Science day was organized on 27 th February, 2024 in MES Vidya Mandir , Belapur. Science day theme was 'Global Science For Global Well being '.
Primary section students exhibited their projects and posters to provide platform to the students, to prove their talents, bring out their creativity. Students participated with enthusiasm in science exhibition. This science day included many projects like save earth, use of non conventional energy resources , types of machines, global warming, climatic change etc. As exhibition started, students presented their projects & models on energy resources, hydroelectric generators, AC and DC motors , water irrigation were built by the students.
On 28th Feb 2024 secondary section conducted science quiz competition in the school premises This Quiz was conducted under the supervision of Teachers . Students from std VII, VIII and IX participated , three of the brightest students were chosen from the four houses . As a trivia based on science , the event contained many questions related to Physics,Chemistry and Biology .There were 4 rounds :General knowledge ,Experiment round ,Buzzer round and Puzzle round.
The audience actively participated in the event as the Quiz master kept them involved by quizzing them. The SCIENCY SPIDERS (Green house) won with flying colors.
The student who answered questions correctly was awarded with the paper caps written scientists name and their invention on the cap . This event proved to be very educational and informative for the students. It was a much appreciated endeavor by the school , such events go a long way in moulding students personality and testing their knowledge.
The hard work of students & teachers resulted the success of NATIONAL Science DAY.
